What is a Make scenario?
A Make scenario is a visual workflow: modules connected on a canvas. Each module action usually spends one credit. A Make AI Agent can sit in that flow when the step needs a judgment.
In plain English
The scenario is the map. You can see every module. Make's own page says to use an agent when the input is messy text, and a normal scenario when the path is fixed. You can require an approval before the agent acts. Watch the first real week with the scenario's log open. A filter that looked right on three sample rows may let a hundred old rows through on Monday. Put the AI module after the filter, not before, so you are not paying to draft emails for jobs you meant to skip. Pause the scenario when you go on vacation if nobody else will read the queue. Clone the scenario before a risky edit. The clone is your undo when the new filter eats a day of jobs. Name the clone with today's date.
How an owner would use it
Draw the happy path as modules. Add an agent only where someone would have had to read a message. Watch credits if you loop over a big list.
Common mistakes
A scenario that loops over every row in a sheet can spend a credit per module per row. Owners discover that on the invoice, not in the demo. Use a filter before the AI module. Make's own pages are the place to check how credits and agents work today. Do not add an agent module to a path that is already a straight line.
A worked example
A skate shop
The count sheet drafts the order email
This is an illustration, not a customer result. A scenario reads the weekly count the owner already typed and drafts a supplier note for decks under the reorder number. It does not place the order. The buyer sends the email after checking sizes.

Questions owners ask
What is a Make scenario?
A scenario is Make's name for an automation you build on a visual canvas. Modules pass data from one app to the next.
How do I use a Make scenario with AI?
Build the fixed steps as modules. Add a Make AI Agent where the workflow has to read unstructured text. Make says agents are available on all plans, including Free.
What is a module?
A module is one block on the Make canvas, such as 'watch new rows' or 'send email.' The scenario is the whole map. An AI agent, if you add one, is a module with a judgment to make.
