AI apps for business
These are short guides to the AI apps owners actually ask about, one page per app. Each page says what the vendor's own site says the product is, which team plans that site names, and how you might use it for invoices, missed calls, scheduling, reports, hiring, and SOPs. If a price was not clear on the vendor page, it is not here.
- ChatGPT
ChatGPT for business is OpenAI's team workspace for ChatGPT. OpenAI sells a self-serve Business plan for teams of 2 to 200 people, and an Enterprise plan you buy through sales. A Business seat is not API access. You still check anything it writes before a customer sees it.
- Claude
Claude for business is Anthropic's Claude chat for a company, sold as a Team plan or an Enterprise plan. Team starts at two people and goes to 150 seats. Enterprise is billed annually, with a seat fee plus usage at API rates. You still approve anything that leaves the building.
- Grok
Grok for business is xAI's team product. Grok Business is $30 per user per month for small and mid-size teams. Grok Enterprise is the larger plan, with custom SSO and directory sync. Grok Bot is not a separate company plan. xAI lists Grok Bot access on SuperGrok, which is also $30 per month for an individual.
- Muse
Muse is Meta's personal AI agent. Meta says it can take actions, connect to other apps, and keep working after you close it, with you approving sensitive steps. Meta publishes a free tier with a usage limit, plus Power at $20 a month and Maximum at $100 a month. Those pages do not list a separate team price.
- Microsoft Copilot
Microsoft Copilot for business is Microsoft's AI assistant inside Microsoft 365. Copilot Chat is included at no extra cost with an eligible Microsoft 365 subscription. The fuller Microsoft 365 Copilot license is a paid add-on. Microsoft lists business bundles and a $30 per user per month enterprise license, paid yearly.
- Google Gemini
Gemini for business is Google's AI inside Google Workspace, not a separate app you bolt on. Google says Business and Enterprise editions include Gemini features, and the features depend on the edition. Business Starter includes a Gemini assistant in Gmail. Business Standard adds Gemini in Docs, Meet, and more. This page does not quote a price, because Google's pricing page shows an introductory offer next to another number.
- Perplexity
Perplexity's official docs describe an API platform for real-time, web-wide research and Q&A. The Agent API returns web-grounded answers with citations. This page does not list seat prices or an Enterprise plan name, because those pages could not be loaded from Perplexity for a check.
- Notion AI
Notion AI for a small business sits on Notion's Business plan, at $20 per member per month. That plan includes Notion Agent, AI Meeting Notes, and Enterprise Search (beta). Free and Plus only include a trial of Notion AI. Custom Agents are a separate credit add-on.
- Zapier
Zapier AI for business is Zapier's automation product plus its AI add-ons. Every plan includes basic access to Zapier Agents, Chatbots, and MCP. Copilot helps you build Zaps. You pay for a plan level and a monthly task allowance. A task is a successful step, not a whole workflow.
- n8n
n8n for business is a workflow tool you can run in n8n Cloud or self-host. Cloud plans are priced on monthly workflow executions, not per user. Starter is 20 euros a month billed annually and includes agents, MCP, and AI nodes. You pay when a workflow runs from start to finish, no matter how many steps are inside it.
- Make
Make for business is a visual automation tool, and Make AI Agents are available on every plan. You build an agent on the same canvas as a scenario. Make bills in credits. The Free plan includes 1,000 credits a month. This page does not quote a paid price, because Make's pricing page did not print a dollar amount in the text that could be checked.
Questions owners ask
What is an AI app for a small business?
It is a product you can open and use on real work: a chat assistant, an agent, or an automation tool with AI steps. The pages in this section stick to what each vendor publishes, then point at prompts and guides already on this site.
Which AI app should a small business start with?
Start with the one that sits in the tool you already pay for. If the team lives in Microsoft 365, read the Copilot page. If you live in Google Workspace, read Gemini. If you need a shared chat and you are not in either suite, compare the ChatGPT Business and Claude Team pages. If the job is 'when this happens, do that,' read Zapier, Make, or n8n.
Why are some prices missing?
A price is included only when the vendor's own page stated it clearly. Gemini's pricing page mixes an introductory offer with another figure, and Make's pricing text did not print a paid dollar amount that could be checked, so those numbers are left out on purpose.
Words like MCP and RAG are in the AI agent glossary. The older workflow definitions stay in the automation glossary.
