n8n for business

n8n for business is a workflow tool you can run in n8n Cloud or self-host. Cloud plans are priced on monthly workflow executions, not per user. Starter is 20 euros a month billed annually and includes agents, MCP, and AI nodes. You pay when a workflow runs from start to finish, no matter how many steps are inside it.

What it is

n8n's pricing page says every plan includes unlimited users, unlimited workflows, and every integration. An execution is one full run of a workflow. Hosted data for Cloud sits in the EU, in Frankfurt. A Community Edition is the standard self-hosted version n8n says is on GitHub. This page does not link a repo URL the pricing page did not print.

Starter includes agents, MCP, and AI nodes, 1 shared project, 5 concurrent executions, and 1,600 Assistant credits a month. Pro is the production plan for a solo builder or a small team. Business adds SSO, LDAP, and git version control, and n8n positions it for companies under 100 employees. Enterprise is custom, with a dedicated support SLA.

Assistant is in preview on Cloud plans except Enterprise, which can request it. Self-hosted Assistant is also preview, and n8n says you bring your own key.

These are examples of how an owner might use the tool. They are not customer results, and they are not a promise that the product will do the job by itself.

Plans

Prices are the annual Cloud prices on n8n.io, in euros. A monthly toggle exists on the page. Execution quotas above the trial are not repeated here unless the plan card stated them.

Starter

20 euros per month, billed annually. Includes agents, MCP and AI nodes, 1 shared project, 5 concurrent executions, and 1,600 Assistant credits a month.

Pro

50 euros per month, billed annually. Adds 3 shared projects, up to 50 concurrent executions, admin roles, insights, and up to 9,600 Assistant credits a month.

Business

667 euros per month, billed annually. n8n describes it for companies with fewer than 100 employees. It adds SSO, LDAP, multiple environments, queue mode, and git version control.

Enterprise and Community

Enterprise is a custom execution count with dedicated support. Community Edition is the self-hosted version n8n says is available on GitHub. Business and Enterprise features on a self-hosted instance need a license key.

How an owner would use it

Invoicing follow-ups

The invoice reminder guide is the concrete version: n8n checks for overdue invoices and sends the note you wrote. One run is one execution, even if the workflow has several steps.

Missed-call replies

A webhook from the phone system can start a workflow that sends your text. Test it with your own number before you point it at customers.

Scheduling

A booking tool can call a webhook when someone books or misses. n8n sends the reminder you stored. The calendar is still the calendar.

Reporting

The weekly report guide pulls Sheet numbers and emails them. That is a scheduled execution, not a chat that guesses.

Hiring

When a new hire is added in payroll, a workflow can create the task list and send the welcome note. Read the onboarding guide before you turn it on.

SOPs

Write the SOP in plain language first. Then automate the handoff, not the judgment. Human approval for tool calls is a feature n8n lists on its pricing page.
