Google Gemini for business
Gemini for business is Google's AI inside Google Workspace, not a separate app you bolt on. Google says Business and Enterprise editions include Gemini features, and the features depend on the edition. Business Starter includes a Gemini assistant in Gmail. Business Standard adds Gemini in Docs, Meet, and more. This page does not quote a price, because Google's pricing page shows an introductory offer next to another number.
What it is
Google's help article says that in January 2025 Gemini features moved into Workspace Business and Enterprise editions. Older Gemini add-ons (Gemini Business legacy and Gemini Enterprise legacy) are no longer for sale. The article says your content stays in the organization, is not used to train models outside your domain without permission, and is covered by existing Workspace protections.
On the Workspace pricing page, Business Starter includes a Gemini assistant in Gmail and chat in the Gemini app. Business Standard adds the assistant in Gmail, Docs, Meet, and more, plus Gemini Notebook with expanded access. Business Plus includes what Standard includes, along with the security controls on that page. Enterprise is 'contact sales.' Starter, Standard, and Plus can be bought for up to 300 users.
The help article lists more highlights, such as side-panel help in Sheets, Slides, Drive, and Chat, and says which of those you get depends on edition. Do not assume Starter includes every highlight.

Includes Standard's Gemini features, plus the Vault, endpoint, and security controls Google lists for Plus.
Enterprise
Sold through Google sales. Google's help article says Enterprise admins can manage access to Gemini features inside Workspace services.
How an owner would use it
Invoicing follow-ups
Write the reminder in Gmail with the assistant, from the invoice facts in front of you. The balance still comes from the books.
Missed-call replies
If the missed call landed in Gmail, draft the reply there. If it needs a text, use the missed-call prompt and send the text from your phone system.
Scheduling
Business Standard includes appointment booking pages. Use those for the public link, and use Gemini in Gmail to clean up the reminder wording.
Reporting
Pull the week into Sheets with the guide you already have, then ask for a short summary only after the numbers are in the sheet.
Hiring
Draft the posting and the welcome email in Docs and Gmail. You still set pay and who gets an interview.
SOPs
Docs is the natural home for an SOP if the team already lives in Drive. Gemini can help you write it. Walk the checklist once before you hand it to a new hire.

Google's pricing page shows an introductory offer next to another monthly figure, and it says the final price appears at sign-up. Repeating one of those numbers would be a guess about which price you will pay.
Does Gemini train on my company data?
Google's Workspace help article says your content is not used for generative AI model training outside your domain without permission, and that Gemini interactions stay in the organization unless you allow them out.
