Notion AI for business
Notion AI for a small business sits on Notion's Business plan, at $20 per member per month. That plan includes Notion Agent, AI Meeting Notes, and Enterprise Search (beta). Free and Plus only include a trial of Notion AI. Custom Agents are a separate credit add-on.
What it is
Notion's pricing page says Free is $0 per member and Plus is $10 per member per month. Both include a trial of Notion AI, not the full agent. Business is the plan Notion marks as the AI workspace: Notion Agent, AI Meeting Notes, and Enterprise Search in beta, plus SAML SSO and private teamspaces.
Notion's agents page says Notion Agent is the personal assistant you ask on demand, and every Notion user gets it. Custom Agents run on a schedule or a trigger, and Business and Enterprise customers get them. Starting May 4, 2026, Custom Agents use Notion credits. Other AI features on Business and Enterprise (Notion Agent, AI Meeting Notes, Enterprise Search) are included at no extra cost, according to that page.
Notion says it does not use your data to train its models unless you opt in, and that AI subprocessors are contracted not to train on customer data.
These are examples of how an owner might use the tool. They are not customer results, and they are not a promise that the product will do the job by itself.
Plans
Prices are from notion.com/pricing and the agents page.
Free and Plus
Free is $0 per member per month. Plus is $10 per member per month. Both include a trial of Notion AI, not the Business agent features.
Business
$20 per member per month. Includes Notion Agent, AI Meeting Notes, and Enterprise Search (beta), plus SAML SSO, granular database permissions, and domain verification.
Enterprise
Custom pricing. Adds zero data retention with LLM providers, SCIM, an audit log, and the security controls Notion lists.
Custom Agents
Free to try, then $10 per 1,000 monthly Notion credits, as an add-on to Business and Enterprise. Credits are shared across the workspace, reset monthly, and do not roll over. Notion says simple tasks use fewer credits than multi-step ones.
How an owner would use it
Invoicing follow-ups
Keep the invoice status in the books. Use Notion to hold the chasing SOP and a draft of the reminder. A Custom Agent can run on a trigger only if you have bought credits and you still want a person to see the send.
Missed-call replies
Log the missed call in a database if that is how the desk works, and keep the text itself short. Notion is the record. The phone still sends the text.
Scheduling
Notion Calendar is on the Free plan. AI Meeting Notes are on Business. Use the notes after the job, not as a substitute for the booking page.
Reporting
A weekly status page in Notion is useful if the numbers were typed from the real report. Do not ask the agent to invent a total that is not on the page.
Hiring
Write the posting and the first-week checklist in a teamspace the manager can find. Enterprise Search is marked beta on the pricing page, so do not bet the hiring file on it alone.
SOPs
This is the fit. Put one SOP per page, and use the Notion SOP guide if you want the page created when someone new starts. Business is the plan that includes the agent.
