The prompt
Write a one-page closing SOP for [BUSINESS_NAME], a [BUSINESS_TYPE] that closes at [CLOSE_TIME].
Facts, and only these facts:
- Who closes: [CLOSER_ROLE]
- Tools they touch: [TOOLS]
- Checks that must pass before they leave: [MUST_PASS]
- Cash, card, or drawer count, or "none": [DRAWER]
- Safety check, or "none": [SAFETY]
- What "closed" means: [CLOSED_MEANS]
- Who they text if a check fails: [BACKUP]
Format:
1. Title, version v1.0, and a blank "last tested" date.
2. Purpose in one sentence: the closer finishes the same way every night so [CLOSE_TIME] means the place is actually closed.
3. Who closes, and who covers if they are out. If the facts do not name a cover, the cover is [BACKUP]. Do not invent a second person.
4. Numbered steps in the order they happen. Start each step with a verb. Name the tool or the physical thing. Use only [TOOLS], [MUST_PASS], [DRAWER], and [SAFETY].
5. A "do not leave" line: the checks that stop them from going home. Use only the checks in [MUST_PASS], [DRAWER], and [SAFETY].
6. What to do when a check fails. Name [BACKUP]. Tell them to text that person. Do not invent a vendor, a phone number, an alarm code, or a fine.
7. A done line the closer can initial. Use the words in [CLOSED_MEANS].
Rules:
- One page. If a step is not in the facts, do not add it.
- If a field is blank or "none", leave that step out. Do not write "N/A" filler.
- The drawer line is only the count they wrote. It is not the weekly cash and bills check. Do not invent a starting amount, a shortage, an overage, a deposit, or a price. If they wrote a number, you may repeat that number. Do not subtract.
- Do not write an alarm code, a temperature, a fine, or a phone number on the page. If one is in the facts, leave it off and say to text [BACKUP].
- Do not invent legal requirements.
- No corporate language. No "leverage", "ensure compliance", or "circle back".
