What is shadow mode?
Shadow mode means the new workflow runs on live inputs but its output is not what the customer receives. You compare it to the current process. It is not draft mode, where someone approves each send, and it is not the unapproved staff use called shadow AI.

The counter still writes the ticket the usual way. Alongside, the agent writes the ticket it would have made. At the end of the day you see the disagreements. Nothing customer-facing changed. That is how you learn the failure rate before you trust it. Shadow mode is a dress rehearsal. The new path does the work on paper while the old path still serves the customer. Compare them for a set of real jobs. If the shadow is wrong, only you saw it. Leave shadow mode only when the comparison is boring.
